Voulez-Vous Crochet Avec Moi?

3.14.2011

If you are feeling anxious for spring I encourage you to think about these quotes...
No Matter How long the winter spring is sure to follow.~A Proverb

Keep that proverb in mind when the cold rains, snow and wind has you in-doors and you would rather be out.

Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.
 ~Doug Larson

ummm....ok... that one I do not agree with because slush in my shoes will not keep me whistling and to be honest I can't really whistle but maybe it applies to you so I will keep it there... ^_^

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.  ~Anne Bradstreet

Now that one I need to remember year round. Pain and discomfort are sometimes good. It's often what we need for growth.
Stay with me now this is where the crochet comes in...

This weekend the weather was actually pretty nice, a nice Spring Teaser. It was the kind of warm where as long as you stay in the sun you are warm....move to the cold I mean shade and its over!

So to brighten up my day I crocheted some pretty little flowers.

I figured I would fake it till the real ones Bloom. These flowers are created using the crochet puff stitch. For the full picture tutorial and detail pattern go HERE.

This Post was brought to you by the letter 'G'

1 Thessalonians 5:18

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Thank You For reading! Make today a Great day!

Aren't those cute? I've been doing a lot of crocheting lately and have started making some dish clothes in spring colors. It's so nice to play with pinks and bright yellows and light greens!

I think that is so pretty. It reminds me of the quilts my yiayia (Greek for Grandma) used to make. I wish I had learned from her! I'm visiting from Sugar Bee. Nicely done!

Hey Jacqueline,
Thanks for dropping my blog and it's not so bad with the amigurumi but I'd start with something simple first like the pattern you can find here:
